Welcome to Environment Engineering
Environmental Engineering Major offers an opportunity for students to learn the application of basic science and technology to protect people from adverse environmental impacts, improve environmental quality, and conserve natural resources. It involves the design of water supply management, wastewater treatment, solid waste management, air pollution control, and land remediation. Environmental engineering practice requires a strong background in engineering mathematics, chemistry, fluid mechanics, and environmental science. In addition, the students learn geotechnical principles, process principles, energy management, and life-cycle assessment to develop solutions for environmental engineering problems. Environmental engineering students also learn to apply their knowledge in project management and assess the project's environmental impact. In the final year, the environmental engineering students build their research skills in the research project and employ their problem-solving skills with the design projects.
